Timeline – follow the 15th battalion

The following outlines the conceptual use of this page:

This map will enable the user to visually see the day to day movements of the battalion a day (one map marker) at a time.

If this is the first time the visitor has been to this page, the start date will be the date the 15th battalion landed in France. The map will display a markers for that date. 

When the next day button is clicked, the system will look for the next chronological date in the database and then display the location of the battalion on that date. (The database need not contain an entry For every single date.) This will continue a day at a time until the end of the data in the database.

The user can also enter any date (between [start date] and [end date]) as the start date.
