Carvings and Inscriptions in Maison Blanche

The names on the Celtic Cross are almost certainly those of three men
of the 15th Battalion who killed by enemy shelling on 12 Mar 1917 as the Battalion Moved forward to occupy Maison Blanche and relieve the 13th Battalion. They are buried in Villers Station Cemetery. Their names were
also inscribed elsewhere in the maison Blanche tunnel and are shown top left.
